Raiders Pick up First Conference Win

Della Bossung hit two home runs and drove in four as the Raiders defeated Danville11-4 on Tuesday. Bossung homered in the sixth and second innings. Harrison won thanks in part to six runs in the sixth inning. Becca Knight doubled, scoring one run, Audri Gaeta homered to center field, scoring three runs, and Bossung homered to center field, scoring two runs. Harrison got on the board in the second inning after Bossung hit a solo home run to center field. The Raiders captured the lead, 4-1, in the top of the third after Mallory Duell hit a sacrifice fly, Gaeta hit a sacrifice fly, and Highlyn Newton singled down the right field line, each scoring one run. Samera Dombkowski earned the win for the Raiders. The righty allowed nine hits and four runs (three earned) over seven innings, striking out four and walking one. Harrison accumulated 16 hits in the game. Newton, Knight, and Jordan Perry each collected multiple hits for Harrison. Perry stole two bases. Harrison welcomes Danville on Wednesday for their next game.
