The #9 Raiders hosted the #2 Bulldogs in this matchup of two powerhouses. The action was end to end and wide open most of the evening. Chances at both ends led to a very entertaining game. After some initial pressure from the visiting Bulldogs, the Raiders broke through first with a counter-attacking goal. Sophomore Val Villegas picked out a great pass in the central midfield, Junior Diego Cruz played a long ball over the top, freshman sensation Elih Gomez outpaced everyone to the ball to touch the ball to a sprinting Senior Midfielder Russell Weaver who calmly placed the ball in the back of the net. The Raiders would hold the lead until 5 minutes into the 2nd half when the Bulldogs equalized. Action was back and forth with some terrific saves made by senior captain Goalkeeper Marshall Crowell. The final was a 1-1 tie. The Raiders move to 1-1-3 on the season.
