Another clash of top teams to start the month of September for the Raiders. #2 HSE visited the #13 Raiders on a very hot and humid evening. The action started fast with great box to box movement and scoring threats. The Raiders look to be improving as this fall season evolves. The Raiders played a quality 1st half of soccer but entered the break tied 0-0. The Royals got an early quick counter on the Raiders to begin the 2nd half and put away an absolute laser to the top corner that elite GK Marshall Crowell couldn't get to. The match remained 1-0 for most of the 2nd half. Freshman Elih Gomez made the Royals GK make a diving save off of a free kick late in the 2ndhalf to keep the lead. HSE extended their lead to 2-0 with minutes remaining to ice the game. Junior GK Marshall Crowell continues to be a tough obstacle for opponents to get by. Playing against elite competition will keep serving these Raiders well as they continue to grow and develop as a team through September. The Raiders move to 1-2-3 on the season and play Lafayette Jeff at home next Tuesday 9/8 at 6:30 on Senior Night!
