The Harrison Boys Cross Country team put together another outstanding performance Tuesday at McCutcheon High School, dominating the JV Finale and showing just how much depth this team has throughout the entire roster. Harrison runners claimed six of the top 12 places and placed five runners in the top nine overall. The Raiders were led by a 1-2 finish from Colton Deflinger and Zach Havel, who turned in excellent races to lead Harrison's charge. Deflinger won the race in 18:25, while Havel finished just 18 seconds behind in 18:43. Henry Cadwallader added a fourth-place finish in 18:51, followed by Micah Cook in sixth at 18:58 and Ollie Milner in ninth at 19:04. That gave Harrison an impressive five runners under 19:05. The Raiders continued to show their depth throughout the race. Ethan Roll finished 11th in 19:09, followed by Alex Garcia in 12th at 19:12 and Keegan Kline in 15th at 19:21. Sebastian Karns was 20th in 19:39, giving Harrison another runner under 19:40. Harrison continued to fill the results with David Cappelleri (23rd, 19:56), Ryan King (24th, 19:58), Logan Ciannello (25th, 19:59) and Conner Hitzman (26th, 20:01). Ben Anderson finished 29th in 20:07, while Isaac Hosler crossed in 20:12. The Raiders continued to have runners throughout the field, including Alex Seadeek (20:25), Jonathan Mart (20:32), Austin Miller (20:37), Reid Schurman (20:55), Henry Witcosky (21:22), Lane Strawbridge (21:43), Steven Fite (22:20), Adam Baugh (22:29), Bkale Hallenbeck (22:34), Kellen Hallenbeck (22:42), Orin O'Shields (23:04), Jeremy Sison (23:05), Lucas Garrison (24:14), Will Ceja (26:14) and Elijah Stachowicz (26:47). Tuesday's race was an important one for Harrison because it gave many of the team's developing runners another opportunity to compete against quality local competition and see the progress they have made throughout the season. While the JV season is now wrapping up, Saturday will be the final race of the season for these runners when Harrison competes in the Sagamore Conference Meet. It will be one more opportunity for the guys to put everything they have learned and worked on throughout the season into one final race. The performance at McCutcheon was another great example of the depth within the Harrison program. From the front of the race to the back of the pack, the Raiders continue to develop runners who are improving, competing and making the entire program stronger. The guys have one more race left. Let's finish the season strong at the Sagamore Conference Meet on Saturday!
